Mullaloo

Bedroom extension and living addition.

building work by owner builder

The owners of this 1970’s residence began work when an accident where thankfully no one was injured meant some quick decisions and design work were required at short notice.

Their tiny master was suddenly partially demolished allowing them to increase the floor area and add some much needed storage. careful placement of a new window to the room improved access to cooling summer breezes and minimized the heat generated from the setting summer sun.

Once the build was complete design and approvals began for an additional living enlarging the kitchen and dining and allowing the existing outdoor area to be better utillised. The result was a well used room that accessed warming winter sun to assist in passively warming the space.
